About Norph
Slow Photography
“I’ve always been drawn to photographing this way. Observing nature’s delicate details and capturing the perfect imperfection in the beauty that nature is so rich in fascinates me deeply. I call this intense focus on a single subject ‘slow photography.’ It’s a form of mindfulness. The subject cannot be rushed through the camera; it must take the time that nature demands. Nothing can be forced, and I find myself in a completely different world of tranquility when I’m photographing.”
Tine Hvolby is the creative force and photographer behind NORPH's print collection.
Tine Hvolby’s print collection, NORPH, stems from her fascination with nature and its “perfect imperfection.” This fascination is reflected in the images through a focus on the details of the flowers and the photographic technique, which highlights the imperfections in the textures that are constantly present in her images.
New Norph posters… hot off the press.
The Norph Collection is a collection of photographs; it is a tribute to the essence of nature, the tranquility of landscapes, and the beauty of flora. Every single image in this collection captures the imperfection within perfect nature—an honest snapshot of the world around us. The photographic style of the Norph Collection is characterized by a subtle depth of field, allowing the texture of each subject to tell its own quiet story.
The motifs in the print collection form an illustrative and graphic narrative that invites reflection and contemplation. Each image becomes part of your home’s soul—a unique design element that speaks to both the heart and the mind. With the Norph collection, you’re bringing more than just a photograph into your home—you’re bringing nature’s poetic stories into your spaces.
Windy Clematis. “Windy Clematis”—the name is a bit silly, and there’s no deeper meaning behind it, but can you imagine a creature with a big mane, sitting slightly hunched over on a moped, while the wind makes its hair flutter backward? No, right? In reality, the motif is a seed head from a clematis. Beautiful, graphic, and very simple in its expression.”
“It’s all about balance, and I don’t want to focus exclusively on one type of photography. For me, it’s about finding the balance between opposites in my photographic projects, and I find inspiration and peace in nature.”

Seaweed washed up on the beach, clinging to the coral rock it had been attached to in the ocean. Just ordinary Danish seaweed, but isn’t it beautiful? Seaweed is like clouds; look closely, and you’ll discover a whole world of patterns and funny creatures.
